Kusama Affandi (1907–1990) was one of Indonesia’s most renowned expressionist painters. Known for his unique technique of directly squeezing paint from tubes onto the canvas, Affandi captured raw emotion and energy in his works. His art often depicted scenes of everyday life, nature, and human struggle, using bold colors and dynamic strokes to convey movement and intensity.
