To submit an artwork for consideration, please complete our submission form or contact us directly by
email. Where available, please include the artist's name, title, medium, dimensions, provenance, and clear
photographs of the front, reverse and signature.
Our specialists will carefully review the information provided and assess the artwork's suitability for sale. If appropriate, we will contact you to discuss the next steps, provide a preliminary valuation, and request any additional information or documentation that may be required.
Yes. Initial evaluations and consignment proposals are provided free of charge and without obligation.
Our specialists evaluate each artwork individually, taking into account authenticity, provenance, condition,
rarity, historical significance, current market demand, and recent auction results.
The consignor is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of delivering the artwork to Aurora & Athena.
Artworks may be shipped using a carrier of the consignor's choice or delivered in person to our gallery by prior appointment.
Should you require assistance with logistics or recommendations for professional fine art shippers, our team will be pleased to assist.
Each artwork is evaluated individually to determine the most appropriate sales channel. Depending on its
characteristics and current market conditions, it may be offered through our gallery, private sale, or one of
our international online auctions.
Where available, we recommend providing provenance, certificates of authenticity, purchase invoices,
exhibition history, literature references, restoration records, and any other documentation supporting the
artwork's authenticity and ownership.
For artworks consigned to an auction, withdrawal is generally not permitted once the Consignment
Agreement has been executed, except where expressly provided for in the agreement.
For artworks consigned to the gallery for private sale, withdrawal may be requested by the consignor,
subject to the terms of the applicable Consignment Agreement.
Payment to the consignor is made within 60 days following the successful sale of the artwork, whether
through one of our online auctions or via a gallery private sale, in accordance with the terms of the
Consignment Agreement.
Yes. Aurora & Athena treats all consignment agreements, valuations, reserve prices, commercial terms and
client information as strictly confidential.
Yes. Aurora & Athena regularly works with consignors from around the world. We are pleased to accept
consignments internationally and can assist with practical guidance regarding shipping, logistics and the
documentation required for cross-border consignments.
If an artwork remains unsold, Aurora & Athena will discuss the available options with the consignor.
Depending on the circumstances, the artwork may be offered through another sales channel, included in a
future auction, or returned to the consignor in accordance with the terms of the Consignment Agreement.
