The work is signed by the artist as “Lynita Shimizu” and dated “2003” in the lower right margin, and titled “Monadnock” in the lower center margin. It is also editioned “18/20” in the lower left margin.
This limited edition woodcut print by Lynita Shimizu is created using the Japanese technique of Moku Hanga (wood print).The composition features a stylized, graphic landscape of the mountain Monadnock, rendered with a refined, layered application of pigment on handmade paper.
Shimizu studied mokuhanga in Kyoto with the late master Tomikichiro Tokuriki and in Tokyo with Yoshisuke Funasaka, which informs the technical precision and contemporary aesthetic of her work.

Condition
The artwork is in good condition. As noted in the documentation, to protect the woodcut, it should be kept out of direct sunlight and framed using archival, acid-free matboard and backing.
